What is an anchor link anyway?

Anchor links are "jump labels" on your website that allow you and your visitors to jump directly to certain sections. Let's say you run a nutrition blog and want visitors to go directly to a specific recipe on your website - this is exactly what anchor links are perfect for.

Why should you use anchor links?

  1. Better user experience: Your visitors can jump directly to the information relevant to them without having to scroll endlessly.
  2. SEO benefits: Search engines love clear structures. Anchor links not only make it easier for your visitors to navigate, but also for search engines to understand your content.

Setting up anchor links in Elementor - step by step:

  1. Open the Elementor Page on which you want to set an anchor link
  2. Select your section where the "anchor" should be set
  3. Click on extended and award under CSS ID a corresponding keyword (in our example "action")

Then it's time for the link - in our example, a button.

If the link is now on the same page you can simply use "#aktion" (or your keyword) under Link.

If the anchor link is on another subpage, you must use the entire link.
For example: https://wp-space.de/preise/#action

❗️Wichtig: Don't forget mobile optimization!📱
Make sure that the anchor links also work smoothly on mobile devices to make the user experience as pleasant as possible for your web searchers.

Last but not least, don't forget to save or update your page 😊

As a web designer, absolute WordPress expert and employee of WPspace, I know exactly what is important when it comes to WordPress, web design and marketing.

Links marked with an * are affiliate links. If you buy a product via this link, WPspace receives a small commission. There are no additional costs or disadvantages for you! This has no influence on our opinion of individual products and services - we only recommend what we love ourselves.

One Response
