What requirements do I have to meet for the WordPress maintenance service from WPspace®?®?
How does the WordPress maintenance service differ from the normal service of my WordPress hosting?
With a pure WordPress hosting package, you also have the option of configuring automatic updates and backups using our WordPress toolkit. However, the configuration and checking of functionality and backups is then your own responsibility.
With our WordPress maintenance service, we take over the complete operational responsibility of your WordPress instance so that you no longer have to worry about the technical aspects of your WordPress website. We take care of your website as if it were our own.
We also regularly check the security status of your website. If our system notices a security vulnerability, we will inform you and close it immediately.
To relieve you of even more tedious work, our WordPress Maintenance Pro package even includes additional services. We will then take over adjustments to your website, such as entering your texts or installing new plugins, free of charge.
How often are updates carried out?
If new critical updates, your themes, plugins or WordPress core updates are available, these are installed and checked daily and fully automatically in a test environment on your website. Once a month, we also check the availability of major updates. Our WordPress experts then check your test environment for functionality and activate it for live operation, provided everything is working properly.
In exceptional cases, however, the installation of updates may be delayed due to incompatibility or errors on the part of the plugin and theme developers.
How is the website checked for errors after updates have been installed?
Before updates are installed on your live site, they are first tested on a staging instance. This means that we create an exact copy of your website and install the updates there first. Based on errors in the logs and before and after screenshots, we can determine whether the installation of the updates is safe and whether there are any errors on your website. Only when we are 100 % sure that there are no errors on your website will the updates be applied to your live site.
Which websites does WPspace WordPress maintenance apply to?
The booked WordPress maintenance is always valid for exactly one website. You can specify the website in the order process. If you would like to include additional websites in the WordPress maintenance, you must book another WordPress maintenance plan. WordPress maintenance only applies to WordPress websites operated at WPspace in the single and multi tariffs. Managed Cloud Servers are excluded from maintenance.
Who the 24/7 emergency hotline applies to
The 24/7 emergency hotline applies to WordPress Maintenance Pro customers with a website operated on a single or multi-tariff. Managed Cloud Server customers are excluded. If you need a 24/7 emergency hotline for your Managed Cloud Server, you can book our Enterprise 24/7 emergency hotline. Please contact Support for this.
How does the 24/7 emergency hotline work?
With the order confirmation for WordPress Maintenance Pro, you will receive a dedicated emergency number from us that you can call free of charge outside of our office hours to contact a service technician with an immediate response time.
Our technician will then send you a declaration of assumption of costs for the emergency SUPPORT by e-mail, which you must confirm to us in writing. Only then will the emergency SUPPORT be activated and our technician will start working for you immediately.
Important: The use of the emergency HOTLINE is included with the conclusion of a WordPress Maintenance Pro contract. However, the resulting emergency SUPPORT is always subject to a charge. We charge a flat rate of €100 per case. This includes 30 minutes of technician intervention, then €40 for every 15 minutes or part thereof. The prices are net plus 19 % VAT.
As an alternative to the 24/7 emergency hotline, you can use our 24/7 emergency SUPPORT service only if required at wp-space.com/emergency request. Instead of an immediate response time, you can expect a response time of max. 1 hour
