Why do you distinguish between WordPress and WooCommerce hosting?
Why is WPspace so expensive?
Compared directly to budget providers (which you probably know from TV commercials 😜), WPspace looks expensive at first glance. We understand that. In the end, hosting is like almost everything you buy. Ever heard the saying „Buy cheap, buy twice“? Here are our top reasons why budget hosting is rarely worth it:
1. Budget providers and mass hosting providers cram far too many customers onto a single server
With budget providers, you share a server with usually 100 to 400 other customers. This has a negative impact on your website’s performance. That’s because the available server resources are shared among all customers. In some cases, it only takes one customer sharing a server with you to monopolize all the server resources, causing your website to load significantly slower or become completely inaccessible. With WPspace, on the other hand, you’re always allocated your fixed CPU and RAM resources. This means other customers can’t affect your website’s performance at all. This is more expensive, since we can host fewer customers per server overall. In return, however, your performance remains consistently reliable.
2. Low-cost providers and mass hosting services use dark patterns
Most budget providers lure customers in with extremely low prices in the first year. After that, the contract renews and often costs 3 to 10 times as much! Plus, you often have to pay extra for every additional feature. For example, free SSL certificates aren’t usually included, or you have to pay for PHP version updates. In some random samples, we even found that these so-called „budget providers“ are often significantly more expensive than WPspace, even when offering comparable performance. With WPspace, you can be sure there are no add-ons you absolutely need to run your website. No matter which WPspace plan you choose, you can get your website online right away—with absolutely no hidden costs.
3. Low-cost providers and mass hosting providers often offer superficial support
We probably don’t need to mention this point, since—like most of our customers—you’re likely already a customer of a budget provider or mass-market host, and you’ve probably had your own experiences with their support. For the sake of completeness, however, we’d still like to address this point, because you’ll only realize how good a support team really is when your website goes down. You’ve surely been there: First, you spend minutes searching the website just to figure out how to contact your provider in the first place (which, by the way, is also a dark pattern: Many budget providers and mass-market hosting companies deliberately hide their support options from you to artificially minimize the volume of support requests.). Only to then end up stuck in a never-ending queue or having to explain to the chatbot why you absolutely need to speak with a real person. If you’re lucky enough to finally get through to a real support representative, they usually can’t actually help you either, since they just go through their checklist with you and conclude that the problem lies with your website. And this is exactly where good support differs from bad support. Fundamentally, the support agent is right. 99.1% of the time, the problem isn’t with the server or hosting but with the WordPress website itself (incompatible plugins, themes, etc.). But with these providers, support stops at the application level. It’s completely different at WPspace. You can contact us directly by phone, chat, or email, and you’ll be connected right away to a real WordPress expert who will work with you to determine whether the issue is with the hosting. And if it turns out to be a problem with your website, we’ll go the extra mile for you and analyze in detail how the issue can be resolved so your website is back up and running as quickly as possible. It’s no coincidence that our personnel costs are our company’s largest expense. That’s because we hire only true WordPress experts for our support team!
